Always searching for new places to discover and show to others, finding the Val di Gares was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. We are in the town of Canale d'Agordo, between Falcade and Cencenighe, at a short distance from one of most important and most visited ski areas of the Dolomites, the Passo San Pelegrino. I am honest, I got here by chance. The Val di Gares is mainly known by cross country skiing enthousiasts and this reason actually brought me here: I brought my son to a competition held in this location. Like most of the last winters, this year we had to wait for the snow to arrive. It came late and timidly only in February, after a long period of intense cold and splendid days without a shadow of precipitation...
